Earthworks
The foundation for everything that follows.
Loftorka Reykjavík specialises in earthworks. The company has taken part in the development of neighbourhoods in the Reykjavík area since the 1960s and draws on continuous experience in the field since 1962.
Work is carried out with the company's own machinery, supported by its technical department, workshop and machinery centre at Miðhraun 10 in Garðabær.

Street construction
Streets, paths and sub-base in new and established neighbourhoods.
Street construction is one of the core parts of the company's operations. Loftorka Reykjavík specialises in street and road construction, building street networks alongside its earthworks and asphalt paving.
Projects run from sub-base and utilities through to the finished surface, carried out as one continuous process by the same crews and the same machinery.

Asphalt paving
A large and growing part of the business since 1973.
In 1973 Loftorka acquired the asphalt company Hlaðprýði hf. Asphalt paving has been a large and growing part of the business ever since.
The company handles both new surfacing and maintenance works, by day or by night where traffic requires it.

Road construction
Surfaced roads across Iceland.
Road construction projects have been carried out around the country and long stretches of road have been given a bound surface.
The company has also worked on major infrastructure projects in cooperation with other firms, including harbours and hydroelectric power stations.
